In 2006, the principals of our firm identified that the funds market was under-served. In particular, the world's largest fund administrators were chasing the world's largest funds. The service offering available to small to mid sized fund managers was extremely poor.

Based upon Conifer Securities long-standing tradition of working with offshore administrators in the BVI, Conifers' management team identified the market opportunity by deciding to establish their first offshore operation in Tortola, BVI.

Key to the success of the Conifer Fund Services operation was the identification and recruitment of experienced fund accountants with strategic relationships in the region (Attorneys, Auditors and Bankers), of what was to become the management team of Conifer BVI. Our partnership was formed. It was a meeting of minds and Conifer in the BVI moved off the drawing board and became a reality in September 2006, when the FSC granted the Fund Administration licence.
